I stumble through a hall
Clinging to some wall
I'm dizzy from the smoke
I'm dizzy from the strain
I'm dizzy from the snowflakes
I'm dizzy from the pain
But there is a crystal
That I can call home
A sort of sun in my sky
That cries "I'm not alone!"
So lay your head down
Little soldier
Ma and Pa are homeward bound
You just lay here
Now, forever
You are in the lost and found
In the jungle
Cubs are sleeping
In the dust
And steamy rain
They are safe from all who hurt them
Let the light come shining in
I'm dizzy from the air
It will come and come again
I'm dizzy from the sugar
I'm dizzy from the pain
Soaking in the rain
But there is a crystal
That I can call home
A sort of sun in my sky
That cries "I'm not alone!"
So lay your head down little soldier
You are always safe and sound
Not one bullet
Here can hurt you
You are in the lost and found
Don't make a single sound
Our pastor was
Once a killer
But now he's
A better man
We live our lives in constant knowing
That we all deserve a chance
I'm dizzy from the water
Angry men leave crimson stains
I'm dizzy from the violence
I'm dizzy from the pain
But there is a crystal
That I can call home
A sort of sun in my sky
That cries "I'm not alone!"
So lay your head down little soldier
Just stay lying on the ground
You are safe from
All who hurt you
You are in the lost and found
No more pain
Not a sound
You are in the lost and found
I just watched a documentary about canibalistic warlords and child soldiers in Liberia. It was truly inspiring, although kind of like getting punched in the face by reality.
